So, ya know the feeling when you get all of your tax info organized, ready to go and you are GOING to do your taxes that night?! You’ve been getting an e-mail from TurboTax everyday for the past 2 months to do your taxes through them. You finally go online, excited to get this over with, sign-in to Turbotax and… “The site is currently down due to technical difficulties” with no end in sight.

You call tech support to get a better understanding of the problem…you’re on hold for 45 minutes before you get on the phone with an overworked customer service guy who is just as tired of hearing customers complain about this issue as you are from hearing the loud on-hold music. He blatently says the people are working overtime, not taking lunch breaks trying to solve the problem and I’ll just have to wait. I asked for a refund. He looked into my account and said, “but ma’am you haven’t even finished your taxes”. Ha. OF COURSE NOT, YOUR WEBSITE WON’T LET ME!!

Anyhoo. I calm down for a week. I don’t want my blood pressure rising at 34 weeks pregnant. Tonight I get on again, all ready to go, looking forward to that refund number climb. Get all the way through Federal, almost done with State, 90% done and then I get “error Rev-1630.” It is asking me questions and prompting me to complete tax info that is clearly incorrect. I guess majority of people in Pennsylvania that use Turbotax are getting this error and again “they are having technical difficulties” and there is no end in sight. On the phone again…this time with customer service in India. Now, I don’t have a problem with that, it just takes twice as long because there is a lot of repeating. Anyways, I asked for a refund for something I haven’t even finished or paid for yet and he keeps saying I’ll get a download on my account. I keep thinking, oh, he must mean a refund. Nope, they gave me Turbotax for windows 2008 to install on my computer and START FROM SCRATCH.

Grrr. I’m going to bed.

No, my taxes aren’t done yet. Maybe tomorrow?
