We were quite productive this weekend. I say “we” but Dale did all the work. He installed a ridge vent up on the roof. This is the first step in finishing the attic -making the house a 4 bedroom 3 full bath. The attic is gutted right now but we start framing the bathroom this week. The final major house renovation! For those of you that visit -this room will be yours! So, feel free to make reservations for Thanksgiving. We’ll be here -hopefully putting on the finishing touches.

Lindy Likes: to be tickled, her daddy’s songs, grabbing Indiana’s hair, talking/chewing on the phone, walking while using your hands, a computer mouse, american cheese & cheddar cheese, bathtime, watching her shadow, being thrown onto the bed, flowers, electrical cords, pumpkin bread, sticking her tongue out, putting everything in her mouth, her bottle, peek a boo, mom’s potted plants, craling up the stairs

Lindy doesn’t like: her car seat, swinging too high, going to bed, taking naps, going up the stairs TO take a nap, her hat, being told no, mozzarella cheese, diaper changes, anything other than standing up, facing your body -she MUST face out, being 2 seconds hungry

Last night we drove up North to see our nephew Bobby play a football game and boy were we amazed. He was playing on the JV team that night; played the whole game, he was the fastest runner out there and made 6 tackles that night! We had an enjoyable time with Dale’s brother Doug and his wife -always good to see them It averages about twice a year and we only live 1.5 hours away.. Kind of odd for me to not visit them more often but everyone seems to be okay with that.

Lindy has a tooth! yay! and momma was home for it! yay! I did the daily tooth feel and felt something sharp! We say she’s been teething for the past 3 months and she had all the symptoms randomly throughout the 3 months but this week has been divine -no tears because of her teeth. yay! We called daddy and he wanted us to take a picture -I told him it’d be hard to hold the camera, pry open Lindy’s mouth, and hold her tongue back to take a picture!

This work from home dealie is working so wonderfully. I feel guilty that more people (even those that don’t have kids) can’t take advantage of this opportunity. I got so much work done yesterday -crossed almost 15 things off my list!

So Hannah’s birthday was coming up and I was in the hole with zero ideas or forethought. We were running errands on Saturday afternoon last week and Hannah said, “Let’s go to Animal Friends Shelter and look at the dogs.” She had been talking about getting a dog for 4 years and I thought that this might be a good time to go look around. Well as it turns out we met and fell in love with this dee-lightful dog. His name was Concorde but we learned that that was his shelter name. We changed his name to Indiana. Hannah put up some video and you will see how gentle he is with Lindy. He has been an excellent dog to date. His only issue is that he has done his business a few times in the basement. We will have to work on getting him into a schedule and hopefully that will prevent “accidents”.

Speaking of accidents- the other morning Lindy woke up early and discovered how to get her dirty diaper off. She then proceeded to spread the contents of the diaper all over her crib and person. It was dis-cust-sting. I took everything outside and burned it. Not really. It did take a load or laundry and a roll of paper towels. I can’t wait to tell her this story when she is twelve.
