goodbye dear Paul -we wish we could have known your smile and taken lots of pictures of it.

We broke down and bought Lindy a new seat. She is sitting in her new “Bumbo.”

I had the joy of rocking Lindy last night without her squirming. She was THAT tired. She slowly fell asleep in my arms. It was so nice to just relax and hold my baby girl and sooth her to sleep. I sang as many songs as I could think of. I need to educate myself on lullabies. Anybody have a good recommendation on learning them?

I remember a few songs my mom used to sing. “I can’t wait to see Heaven.” I only know one verse but I make up the rest.

Happy 4th of July! We hope you had an enjoyable day with family and friends.

We went camping on Tuesday evening. Lindy enjoyed the flowers and wanted to taste them. I let her. Dale worked on building a fire for 2 hours to no avail. Finally, pouring tiki torch fluid did the trick. We buy wood at the same place everytime we go camping and this time we got a very WET batch of wood. Note to self. Don’t shop there again.

Wednesday morning Dale played baseball with the men from our Young Married Small Group, while Lindy and I took a long nap. That evening we enjoyed a BBQ and whiffleball with our friends.

I had work off today due to our company moving to another building. We’ve been packing up and getting the whole company ready for the big move -Tuesday we had to be out of the offices at 1:00 so the moving compnay could come in and start the moving process. Monday, we all arrive at the new building! It has been amazing being a part of the behind the scenes work. I coordinated and gave tours of the new building to everyone who is moving. Friday, our team goes in and officially tests EVERYTHING (since it is a brand new 6 story building). We are testing the toilets, sinks, cable tv, putting welcome gifts on everyone’s desk. It is pretty exciting. I’ll take some pictures to show you. The main lobby has 27 flat screen tvs on the wall that form one big screen!! AE is an amazing company to work for. I just wish they were more flexible with new mothers.

Well, momma is not very good yet at getting those carrots into the mouth! Daddy is VERY good at keeping it in the mouth and not on the clothes. I’ve had to wash a bit more this week than usual -trying to get the orange out of her white clothing.

Note to self. Don’t buy white clothing for kiddos.

Lindy LOVED the sweet potatoes so much, I had to make sure they weren’t supposed to be dessert! She ate a whole jar and then slept the WHOLE night. Needless to say, we gave her sweet potatoes for the rest of the week, she slept from 8:30 until 5:30. She must have a full stomache. YAY!
