Summer Swimming

We decided that we wanted to take Lindy to the outdoor pool before Jan did with her kids -just so we knew how she’d react. Check out the adorable picture. She had on her striped pink bathing suit and waterproof diaper.

We decided to dunk her. She came up and was gasping for breath and I’ve never heard her cry like that before. I was afraid I’d have nightmares all night. Poor thing! The things new parents do….

We Are Home

It is 10:45. We have made it back from Chicago. A fast trip again. Dale was performing a Saltworks show at a Christians In Theatre Arts Conference (CITA), and they needed somebody to drive the set and props to Chicago -it was a lovely family trip in the 15 passenger van.

We stayed with Aunt Liz and Uncle Kavan -Lindy’s first time meeting Uncle Kavan. I think she liked his bald head. They had something in common. She literally just stared at him on Friday night for 20 minutes.

More to come. I must go to bed. Dale starts camp with his kids this week and I have 21 new hires next week.

26 pounds of clothing

I am a big Craigslist fan. Are you? We probably buy something off Craigslist once a month. This month’s find was 26 pounds of baby girl clothing for $60. We had so much fun digging through the clothes. Perfect condition. I think we counted 12 pairs of pants alone!! The good thing is that they are the correct season. So, when Lindy is 12 months old in January -she’ll be able to wear all the long-sleeved clothing and pants in the box.

Let’s see. Last months find was a mower for the lawn. The month before that was my sweet 70 gallon aquarium!

Check it out -a great way to find cheap things that you might need.

What a Week!

Lindy had her 5 month check-up with the Nephrologist. No sign of cysts on her kidneys. Praise the Lord! She is 100% healthy.

I say 100% but she had her second ear infection last weekend and her eardrum burst again. We coudn’t figure out why she was crying in pain until her ear burst and gunk came out. Dale saved it to take to the doctor. ewe. It has been a week and she is back to her normal self.

I put down 13 hours of work on Thursday and still had work to catch up on. I had a really really rough day. One of those days where you say “Is it really worth it?” I was reminded “It’s not brain surgery Hannah… we just sell T-SHIRTS!”

Dale was able to manage around his work schedule and drop off Lindy and pick her up that day so I could stay at work.  Even offered to bring me dinner.
American Eagle is moving to the complete opposite side of the city July 9th. The new location is about 30 miles away from its current location, so our department is handling ALL the details. This week, 3 of us did a 1 hour long session 9 times for each department moving. Telling them how to pack their boxes, where to park, how to unpack, their new phone extensions, what to expect that first week, answering every ridiculous question they had. Thursday afternoon, we did 4 sessions back to back. wow. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE all these details, but it is hard to work on these details AND my real job AND be a good wife and mother. Needless to say a few people in my department were unhappy that I couldn’t stay on top of things -they expect me to stay all hours of they day like themselves to get everything done. I can’t do that.

Big Girl Food

We decided to see if Lindy was ready to eat cereal! We really didn’t get too much of a reaction -but she ate more than I thought she would. So fun to see her learn to eat and use her tongue in different ways.

Most of it did end up on her face.
